# Homework 3 — Signatures and IR EW

HW3 is an individual, guided walkthrough in two parts. **Part 1** runs one aircraft against the Project 3 threats — blackbody fundamentals, an IR seeker, an IR countermeasure, a radar, and the loudest-band rule R_det = max_b R_b — so every cadet has done the core signature calculation independently before the group brief. **Part 2** exercises the wider Block 3 toolkit: the fourth-power RCS trade, the quarter-wave RAM null, and the loudest-first RCS budget. Ten numeric-answer questions, graded binary (right/wrong) with one resubmission per question (blank answers don't qualify).
