# Lesson 36 — SEAD, Maneuvers, and Standoff Jamming

<p class="block-synopsis">The support package: silence a radar with SEAD — destroyed for good, or suppressed only inside a timing window — slip its Doppler filter by beaming it, or jam it from outside every ring. A standoff jammer holds its range Rj while the target closes, so J/S ∝ Rt4/Rj2, times the gain the radar points at the jammer: the mainlobe on the jammer's azimuth, a sidelobe everywhere else. That carves a narrow strobe into the jammed contour — a standoff jammer protects a corridor, not a sky.</p>
