Chapter 8: Define each of the following terms and give an example of a random process that meets the definition of each one.
Stationary
Nonstationary
Wide-sense stationary
Ergodic wide-sense stationary
9.2-1a and modified b: For Part(b) assume equiprobable transmission of 0 or 1 (NOT what the problem states!). Find the BER as a function of \(T_b\) and \(\mathcal{N}\) (aka \(N_0\)).
Error correction: Write out the generator and parity check matrices for a Hamming (7,4) code. Show the codeword for a message of 1101. Assuming there is a bit error in the 5th bit of the received codeword r, find the syndrome and show how the bit error would be corrected.
